Question 1

Where do I download IGNOU assignment questions?

Accepted Answer

Assignment question papers are published on the official IGNOU website under the 'Student Support' or programme-specific assignment section. Our Assignments tool helps you find the right question paper faster by course and session.

Question 2

What is the last date for IGNOU assignment submission?

Accepted Answer

Last dates differ by session (January-cycle vs July-cycle students) and are revised most years — always confirm the current cutoff on the IGNOU website, since submitting after the deadline can block your term-end exam eligibility.

Question 3

What happens if I miss the assignment submission deadline?

Accepted Answer

Missing the assignment deadline usually means you can't appear for that subject's term-end exam in the nearest cycle. IGNOU sometimes allows late submission with a fine, but this isn't guaranteed every session.

Question 4

How do I check my IGNOU assignment status online?

Accepted Answer

You can check submission and grading status through the IGNOU Assignment Status portal using your enrolment number and programme code, usually a few weeks after your study centre submits the marks.

Question 5

What format should IGNOU assignments be submitted in?

Accepted Answer

Assignments must be handwritten (unless your programme explicitly allows typed submission), include your name, enrolment number, programme and course code on the first page, and be submitted at your allotted study centre within the deadline.
